I love the process of creating in color and the unusual outcomes that may result always surprise me. Pastel as a medium is very challenging, learning how to shade and shadow over colors, and the prismatic characteristics of the medium. Acrylic painting in fluid is always a challenge there are so many variations of the medium, most always resulting in something unexpected, and unpredictable.

I spent 30+years as technical service manager in the field of diagnostic imaging manufacturing. I received my MBA from Pepperdine in 1986. I aspired to be the best and became the first female Vice President of an OEM company in 2006. I retired in 2009 and finally had the time to devote to my passion for color and creating art. I went to a local Art School to learn the basics of drawing. I then started with pastel as a medium, because of its intensity of color. I quickly became a member of a Gallery in Vancouver and was mentored by several pastel artists in the Northwest. I have had 1st place awards in the medium in a few shows and have really enjoyed the learning process. The "Covid Blues" set in, and I decided to try acrylic fluid art and have had a great time challenging myself to be abstract, with color as my guiding light. Every project is a lesson and reason to continue to create!!
